Charity Work

At the end of the Summer Term, all girls are invited to nominate a charity either individually or as part of a group. They present to the School Council who then short-list 4-5 charities for the whole School to hear about in an assembly. The School then selects two charities for the following year to support. Every year we have an ongoing charity, which has been, for the last few years, African Revival. This is a company who sets up links with schools in Africa so we have been supporting a school in Uganda. From next year this will change to supporting a charity in Thailand, ‘Maekok Village'.

Last term, we raised about £5,000 for a local charity Yorda Adventures, which shows how generous the School is with fundraising.
